the appartments were basic but clean, great location right on the beach with a great veiw of the sea and the promanade, the staff were very friendly, in perticular wendy at reception, she spoke very good english, whichwas a reat help. the entertainment was dissapointing as it was aimed at german, french and dutch, so we did't understand what was going on a lot of the time, but saying that we had a great holidy and would go back again.

Tasmaria Apartments - Paphos - Cyprus
Just returned from a 1 week holiday at the Tasmaria and we loved it! Pool area has recently been done up and it's lovely, never a problem to find a sunbed. Several rooms have also been recently done up and we were in one of them, very comfy beds and very clean. Nikos who works on the bar all night is great, he works very hard and keeps everyone entertained. Large screen tv at the bar area which shows any football. Will definately go back to Tasmaria when we return to Cyprus.
Oasis Apartments - Puerto Del Carmen - Lanzarote
nice and clean basic apartments.would have prefered security at night as no reception open.good shopping. visit the spiniker irish bar for good food and entertainment.
Vila Petra Aparthotel - Albufeira - Algarve
This hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very nice. The hotel is just off the top of the strip but far enough away from the busy bars and clubs. It was our first time to the algarve and we would definately recommend this hotel and this area of Portugal. Has a large pool with plenty of sunbeds, the bar prices were expensive but no more so than what you would expect, we had 2 teenage girls with us and the place seemed really safe
Summertime Apartments - Sidari - Corfu
Stayed at the Summertime Apartments for a week at the end of August 08 with hubby and 13 year old daughter.Although I booked and paid for a 1 bed apartment, we were shown to an extremely dark and depressing studio without being told how the electric worked ( its via a key) or anything elseThe studio itself was old fashioned, grotty and carried an overtley musty smell and had barely enough room to swing the perverbial cat In saying this the pool is great, very clean and well maintained and the bar staff were excellentFood is well cooked and well presentedThe immediate area consist of a wide variety of bars and tavernas and the real hub of Sidari is just a five minute walk awayAll in all an enjoyable week - would go back to the resort but would defo give the Summertime a miss
Griego Mar Hotel - Torremolinos - Costa Del Sol
Upon arriving to this hotel I was feeling quite nervous as I had read alot of negative reviews about it. I am happy to say that we found the hotel to be of a good standard. We travelled with our 3 daughters and had paid a fab price, so we were going with the thought that if the food was no good then we would go out to eat. But we really enjoyed the food and found that there was a different choice every evening, we never struggled to get a table and it was always clean. Don't get me wrong it was busy!!! The pool area was quite small for the size of the hotel and it could have done with having a childrens pool. It did get busy, but again we never struggled to get sunbeds. The bar area was fab, firstly you had the pool bar, ok, it got busy, but there was always a few bartenders behind it so the queue went down very quickly. Then there was Cafe Griego bar that was open after 6pm, that was never that busy. Then Pepe's bar, that opened after 10.30 and children had to be out by 12am. The selection of drinks was fab, there was everything, but if you wanted branded drinks you could pay half price, which we found very reasonable and the measures were very generous. The entertainment in the evening, we found was great. The kids really enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong if you didn't have kids it really wouldn't interest you. On the whole we really enjoyed this holiday and would definetely recommend it.
Kefalos Beach Village - Paphos - Cyprus
This was our first visit to the Kefalos Beach and can honestly say that we had a fantastic holiday. After a 5 hour delay from Gatwick we eventually got to the hotel at 5am but check in was very fast and the porter took us on his golf buggy to the room.He took a few minutes to explain the air-con.Our apartment was in block 29 and our balcony overlooked the restaurant with the sea to one side. The heat from the restaurant made our balcony very hot so we couldnt use it apart to dry towels. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets nearly every day. There was air-con in both the living area and the bedroom which was brilliant. The pool area was kept very clean although it did get very busy. The main pool was quite deep, even in the shallowest part. Our 10 year old son just about had his head above water. There is also a baby pool.Just past the pool was a long grass verge with lots of sunbeds and parasols. We always use to sit here because there was a nice breeze which you didnt get by the pool. The beach was just beside the grass and again more sunbeds. The sand was a bit stony and the sea was full of rocks but you could get into the water via some steps on the rocks and get past the rocks. There was another sandy beach 200yards away to the right. As we were self catering we didnt actually eat at the hotel apart from the odd lunch which was very nice. The hotel had a resident entertainment team that organised darts, table tennis, boules, volleyball and pool games during the day.Our children joined in nearly every day.The evening entertainment was pretty typical eg Elvis impersonater, karaoke,mr and mrs, magic shows. We only went to a couple of these evenings and they were ok.Its only 5 minute walk to the main "Tomb of the kings" road. There are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.We particularly liked Charlies Bar,San Marino restaurant,Tea for two,O Neills and Fat Mamas. We went to the harbour a few times which was 7euros in a taxi from the hotel.Again we found some nice restaurants like The Pelican,Captains view and Poseidons. The harbour area is very nice and mainly pedestrianised and a great spot to people watch. We went to see the Tombs of the kings which was interesting but to be honest it was far to hot to walk about and there was no shade there so we didnt stay as long as we would have liked. We also had a trip to the waterpark which was a bus ride away. When you are waiting for buses the taxi drivers always pull up and offer you a fare.It sometimes worked out cheaper to get the taxi than pay 4 bus fares.Anyway back to the water-park,quite expensive at 28euros per adult.A child of 12 and over is classed as an adult. It was a good day out. They give you all wrist bands on the way in so you can lock your money away in a locker{another 5 euros} and when you get food or drinks they scan your wristband. You pay your bill on the way out. All in all a brilliant holiday and I would certainly recommend the Kefalos Beach. We would certainly go back but probably not in August because it was too hot at 38 degrees plus every day!
Ova Resort Hotel - Ovacik - Turkey
Stayed at the Ova in August rooms were cleaned every day found the food good there was a good choice to choose from 15 mins into the town. The staff were fantastic they couldnÂ't do enough for you. Entertainment was good the kids seem to love it. I have teenage daughters and they loved it we are going back next year.
Orquidea Aparthotel - Santa Eulalia - Ibiza
The hotel itself was spotless.clean towels everyday apart from one when the cleaners don't do your room.Ask at reception if you want clean towels on that day, they won't mind. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be better, most people go onto the beach during the day,it's fantastic! The locals come onto the beach around 3.30 p.m. But they are nice too.The food is o.k. We have been for the last 4 years and always been happy with it.As for the entertainment,in the past it has been good, this year it was terrible in the eve.o.k. During the day if you have children with you.
